Prof. dr hab. Zygfryd Siwik passed away
With deep sorrow, we announce the death of prof. dr hab. Zygfryd Siwik, who passed away on 17 April 2025. He was born on 18 December 1942 in Klein Daberkow.
A retired Full Professor, long-serving Head of the Department of Criminology and Economic Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration (1999–2002). He was a graduate of the Faculty (1965).
In his passing, we have lost a warm-hearted Friend and Colleague, an outstanding academic Teacher, a distinguished Specialist in criminology, fiscal and economic criminal law, the principal Author of the Fiscal Penal Code (1999), and the Mentor of many generations of lawyers.
