Double Degree: “Arqus Multiple Master’s Degree Programme in Translation” 2024–2025
In a truly European atmosphere — somewhere between the inspiring ideas of Jean Monnet, founder of the European Coal and Steel Community (1951), and the three-hundred-year-old camellia (Camellia Japonica) growing in Guimarães near Braga, which secured fourth place in the European Tree of the Year 2024 competition — three students from the Institute of Romance Studies at the University of Wrocław will spend the winter semester of 2024–2025 abroad thanks to the Arqus Multiple Master’s Degree Programme in Translation, signed in November 2023.
Our warm congratulations go to Oliwia Skalska and Marika Ciołek, who have been accepted into the double degree programme at the Université Jean Monnet in the post-industrial town of Saint-Étienne in France, and to Radosław Hućko, who has been admitted to the Universidade do Minho in Braga, set in the lush greenery of Portugal.
In addition to pursuing the “Romance Studies: Translation Specialisation” programme at the Institute of Romance Studies of the University of Wrocław, the students will simultaneously follow the “Master Traduction et Interprétation: Parcours Métiers de la Rédaction et de la Traduction” in France and the “Mestrado em Tradução e Comunicação Multilingue” in Portugal.
We wish them every success!
