University Career Festival 2025!
What is it really like to work in the non-governmental sector? What does the behavioural recruitment model involve? How can you secure a paid internship at the European Parliament? Where should you look for a job if you’re aiming for a career in crisis management or emergency services? What is and isn’t allowed in the workplace? Together, we’ll explore the answers to these and many other questions during the University Career Festival. We warmly invite you to take part!
The University Career Festival will take place on Thursday, 29 May, at the Faculty of Social Sciences campus at ul. Koszarowa. Among the activities on offer will be: an economic simulation game, personal development workshops, sensitivity training, a short course on health responsibility, and a self-defence demonstration. During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to get your CV and cover letter reviewed, have a professional ID photo taken, and most importantly – discuss the realities of various professions! Exhibitors will include public administration bodies, NGOs, uniformed services, and private companies.
The aim of the event is to showcase the broad range of career paths available to graduates of social sciences and humanities, and to support students in preparing for the job market – by developing soft skills and building the confidence needed for lifelong learning and professional growth. The festival also provides an excellent opportunity – already at the university stage – to build relationships with the local social and business environment. It also fosters integration within the academic community!
This is the second edition of the University Career Festival, created in response to student needs. The event is aimed at the student community, including international students at the University of Wrocław, and is co-organised by student societies from several faculties: the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences and the Faculty of Letters.
The detailed programme can be found below. Please note: for organisational reasons, some events require prior registration!
