The second edition of the International BioLOCK Conference is behind us
On 6-7 June 2025, the second edition of the International BioLOCK Conference took place at the Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Wrocław.
BioLOCK was a student-led initiative, organised in collaboration between two student scientific associations of the University of Wrocław – the “Cortex” Student Scientific Association from the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the “Przybysz”Student Scientific Association from the Faculty of Biotechnology.
Over the course of the two-day event, participants had the opportunity to attend eight lectures delivered by esteemed researchers from both academic institutions and research centres in Poland (Wrocław and Warsaw), as well as from abroad (Belgium). The conference also featured a bilingual student and poster session, where undergraduate and doctoral students conducting research in the life sciences had the chance to present their findings. The event attracted considerable interest, drawing around 120 attendees.
Moreover, between lecture panels, participants were able to network with representatives from the companies sponsoring the BioLOCK conference (Bioceltix, WPT, LabJot, I.C.Lab, and PWN), and even test modern laboratory equipment.
