BEYOND LANGUAGE 2025 conference – the future of humanities
148 speakers from over 30 universities in Europe, Asia and North America participated in the BEYOND LANGUAGE 2025 conference this year. Eight days – five European cities (Warsaw, Bucharest, Lviv, Wrocław, Poznań) – a multitude of unique spots on the world’s intellectual map! Transdisciplinary exploration of thoughts and perspectives. Three continents – 111 papers – 48 hours of presentations, debates, and academic sessions. For a while, each of the cities on the BEYOND LANGUAGE map became an intellectual epicentre, a large-scale microcosm.
The meetings of young researchers who work on original, interdisciplinary, and innovative ideas are like small space observatories, from which only outlines of yet unknown planets and stars can be visible for now, but they will result in new galaxies of explorative ideas and academic friendships in the near future. Presenting one’s bold, pioneering solutions on the international scene gives energy to explore, to reach where today’s mind will arrive tomorrow. This makes every lecture a time machine.
This year’s BEYOND LANGUAGE 2025 conference for young researchers – like a suggestion from “Space medicine” by Franco Arminio, modern Italian poet, has ended only superficially. It has sparked new friendships and inspiring ideas and still lasts, but in an altered form, moving to libraries, laboratories, and office rooms to soon result in exceptional publications.
BEYOND LANGUAGE 2025 conference lasted 8 days – from 13 May to 12 June – and was organized in 5 cities – Wrocław, Poznań, Warsaw, Bucharest, Lviv and in an online form as well. The rich program of the conference included 42 hours of lectures and inspiring discussions. 148 speakers represented 31 universities, technical universities, academies and many other academic research facilities from Europe, Asia, and North America. 111 papers were presented and, like during every other conference from the ‘Beyond Language’ series, a vast number of new personal connections were made, that will positively affect the world of education. Young researchers are getting ready to start their journey into the future of humanities. Their success will reach far beyond the present and will soon amaze us.
