Academic conference: “1000 years of Poland in Europe – a balance of experience and visions for the future”

The academic conference “1000 years of Poland in Europe – a balance of experience and visions for the future”, held in June 2025 at the University of Wrocław, provided an interdisciplinary platform for debate on Poland’s place in Europe. Over the course of two days, participants examined key contemporary challenges: international security (including energy and space security), Poland’s relationship with the EU, cultural identity, migration processes, and the development of local self-government. Particular attention was given to the role of historical heritage in shaping Poland’s future position within a united Europe — especially in the context of the country’s presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025.
