Combined conference EUCMOS/EMPOC 2025
From 24 to 29 August 2025, the University of Wrocław will host a prestigious international event, a combined conference of EUCMOS (European Congress on Molecular Spectroscopy) and EMPOC (European Meeting on Physical Organic Chemistry). EUCMOS was already organized in Wrocław in 1977 by Professor Henryk Ratajczak. The two conferences, held as part of the same scientific meeting, create a unique space for the exchange of knowledge and experience between participants, as well as for establishing personal and scientific contacts.
The event programme includes plenary lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions. The European Congress on Molecular Spectroscopy addresses issues related to the theory and practice of molecular spectroscopy, especially its application in chemistry, biochemistry, medicine, materials chemistry, and environmental chemistry. The use of computer science and artificial intelligence for data analysis will also be discussed. The European Meeting on Physical Organic Chemistry focuses on research into hydrogen bonding, phase transitions, and the structure and dynamics of organic and mineral compounds. Both conferences combine theory and practice in contemporary physical, theoretical, biomedical and materials chemistry. The conferences will be accompanied by exhibitions and workshops organized by producers of spectroscopic and chemical equipment. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of: the Rector of the University of Wrocław, the Rector of the Wrocław University of Technology, the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Voivode of Lower Silesia, the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Province, and the Mayor of Wrocław.
