Join the next editions of extracurricular courses organised by the Academic Career Office!

In the summer semester, the UWr Academic Career Office invites you to take part in two extracurricular courses:

Entrepreneurship – Success Stories

In this course, the lecturers are people who run businesses every day – owners of major companies, CEOs of corporations or banks, or professionals who have achieved success in their field.

Among the guests will be:

  • Konrad Imiela – Artistic Director of the Capitol Music Theatre in Wrocław,
  • Magdalena Gawłowska-Bujok and Tomasz Bujok – COO and CEO of No Fluff Jobs,
  • Kamila SzcześniakNieładnie,
  • Paweł GrabiasRock Your English.

Classes will take place on Wednesdays, 16:00–17:30, on the following dates:
07.03.2024, 14.03.2024, 21.03.2024, 04.04.2024, 11.04.2024, 18.04.2024, 09.05.2024, 16.05.2024, 07.06.2024

The course is open to all students, from every faculty and discipline.

Two ways to take part:

  1. As an extracurricular course (registration via USOS from 1.02 to 3.03.2024),
  2. By attending selected meetings as an auditor (continuous registration via the FORMS application).

University Dragons’ Den

By joining University Dragons’ Den, you will:

  • look behind the scenes of the most famous start-ups transforming the lives of millions of users,
  • take a closer look at the apps you use every day,
  • get to know Wrocław start-ups working with clients around the globe,
  • learn to build your own business using the Lean Canvas method,
  • understand the principles of creating and developing innovative ideas,
  • work in an interdisciplinary, dynamic team,
  • talk to business practitioners,
  • discover how markets operate and how potential customers think,
  • decide whether building a company is the career path for you.

All of this will happen during practical, interactive sessions led by business professionals.

The course consists of 10 sessions (20 teaching hours): 8 workshops and 2 project presentation sessions.

Participation (with attendance confirmed) awards 2 ECTS credits. Registration via USOS is required.

Classes will take place on Tuesdays, 16:00–17:30, on the following dates:
12.03.2024, 19.03.2024, 26.03.2024, 09.04.2024, 16.04.2024, 23.04.2024, 07.05.2024, 14.05.2024, 21.05.2024, 28.05.2024

Registration for both courses in USOS is open until 3 March 2024.
Open to all students, regardless of faculty.

The courses are organised by the UWr Academic Career Office.

The rules for these extracurricular courses are set out in Ordinance No. 12/2024 of the Rector of the University of Wrocław of 31 January 2024, introducing the following courses: Entrepreneurship – Success Stories, Design Your Career, University Dragons’ Den, and Effective Teamwork Training.
