Physical Circus at the University of Wrocław
For the twenty-seventh time, during the Lower Silesian Science Festival, the ‘Physical Circus’ at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy entertained enthusiasts of science and spectacular experiments.
This year, the authors of the event, dr Bartosz Strzelczyk and mgr Artur Rokosa, employees of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Wrocław, prepared a programme referring to the Festival’s slogan ‘Science is brave’. The title of the event, ‘Brave physics, or physics for the brave’, perfectly matched the nature of the demonstrations. The spectacular experiments often required considerable courage from the young volunteers who took part in them.
As part of this year’s Science Festival, six ‘Circus’ shows were organised, attended by approximately 1,200 people. The event is certainly one of the ‘flagship’ initiatives promoting science at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Wrocław.
