
Open lecture by Dr Guillermo Sánchez Ungidos at the Institute of Romance Studies
As part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme, we warmly invite you to an open lecture by Dr Guillermo Sánchez Ungidos from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, entitled Keep it cute, manito. Poetry and cultural identity in Spanish and Latin urban music. The lecture will take place on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at 5:30 p.m., at the Institute of Romance Studies, University of Wrocław (pl. Nankiera 4, room 4.8).
The event is organised by the Institute of Romance Studies and the Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, University of Wrocław – Excellence Initiative: Research University, in cooperation with Welcome Point, International Office, University of Wrocław.
Bio
Guillermo Sánchez Ungidos is a literary theorist, literary scholar and researcher of phenomena connecting various artistic disciplines. He is and expert on contemporary Spanish literature and its achivements in the last decades of the 20th and the 21st centuries
About the lecture
The topic of the open lecture will be new genres of urban musical culture, remaining within the sphere of influence of literature, in which the Spanish language is gaining international presence and recognition.
