Report on the 2025 Náboj Physics Competition
In the Polish edition of the 2025 Náboj Physics competition, held on 7 November 2025, pupils competed in two categories: Junior and Senior. The event in Wrocław was organised by the University of Wrocław in cooperation with the Polish Physical Society, and took place in the Main Reading Room of the Library of the University of Wrocław.
In the Junior category, the highest score in Poland, 23 points, was achieved by a team from Adam Mickiewicz Secondary School No. III in Wrocław, which placed first in the national ranking. The next positions were shared ex aequo by two teams scoring 19 points: Team B from the Academic Secondary School of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, and Team A from Romuald Traugutt Secondary School No. II in Częstochowa.
In the Senior category, the top of the Polish ranking was shared ex aequo by two teams with 32 points: Team A from Secondary School No. XIII in Szczecin, and the team from Mikołaj Kopernik Secondary School No. I with Bilingual Sections in Krosno. Close behind, with 31 points, was Team B from Unia Lubelska Secondary School No. III in Lublin.
When compared to the international scale of the competition, the results of the best Polish teams demonstrate their exceptionally high standard. The 32-point score obtained by the two Polish Senior teams places them among the European frontrunners, while the 23 points achieved by the top Polish Junior team position them high in the international rankings. A comparison of available results from other countries indicates that the point differences between Polish teams and the strongest foreign teams are small, highlighting the competitiveness of the Polish participants.
These results confirm that the pupils taking part in the Polish edition of the Náboj Physics competition demonstrate a high level of preparation, and that their achievements are reflected in the international context as well.
