Applications are now open for the Academic Award “Leopoldina”2026!

The Rector of the University of Wrocław, prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, invites applications for the 2026 Academic Award “Leopoldina”, granted by the Norbert and Barbara Heisig Foundation.

Applications for the award, together with the complete set of required documents, must be submitted to the Rector’s Office no later than the last day of February 2026. Detailed information on the competition rules and downloadable documents is available on the website of the Academic Award “Leopoldina”.

The Academic Award “Leopoldina”was established in 2003 by the German-Polish Society of the University of Wrocław.

It is awarded for an outstanding scholarly work in the humanities that addresses German-Polish or European aspects and has been carried out at the University of Wrocław.

Since 2015, the award has been granted by the Norbert and Barbara Heisig Foundation.
