Women in Science at the UWr Faculty of Chemistry

On Sunday, 8 March, the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Wrocław (ul. F. Joliot-Curie 14) will host a special event entitled “Women in Science – The Power of Knowledge”, dedicated to the role and presence of women in the scientific world.

The event is organised by the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wrocław, the Wrocław Academic Centre (WCA), the Academy of Young Scholars and Artists (AMUiA), and the Wrocław Scientific Society (WTN). It is held under the honorary patronage of the Wrocław Women’s Council and the Lower Silesian Women’s Council, as well as the media patronage of Radio LUZ.

Participants can look forward to:

• plenary lectures and panel discussions featuring distinguished speakers,
• the premiere of a composition by Adam Porębski performed by artists from the Academy of Young Scholars and Artists together with Michał Bień (cello),
• chemistry workshops for children led by staff of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Wrocław,
• a special exhibition from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts,
• a space for conversation, exchange of ideas and inspiration, along with refreshments.
