Funding granted for the “Lower Silesian EURAXESS Network” project
On behalf of the prorector for international cooperation, dr hab. Patrycja Matusz, professor of the University of Wrocław, we are pleased to announce that our university, as the project leader of the “Lower Silesian EURAXESS Network,” has received funding under the NAWA-EURAXESS Network programme. The project is carried out in cooperation with Wroclaw University of Health and Sport Sciences, Wroclaw Medical University, and the Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The aim of the project is to create a regional support network for researchers and doctoral students from different countries conducting research in Lower Silesia, as well as to promote the region as a place open to the international academic community.
We warmly invite you to participate in the project’s opening conference, during which key aspects related to hosting foreign researchers will be discussed, including service standards for international scholars and the principles of the EURAXESS network as a tool for supporting academic mobility. The meeting will take place on April 9, 2026, from 10:30 to 16:00 at the Oratorium Marianum.
The first part of the meeting will present the foundations of the NAWA–EURAXESS programme and practical aspects of building a regional support network. The second part will feature presentations by international partners and researchers who will share their experiences of conducting research in Poland. A draft programme is attached to the invitation.
We believe the conference will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and develop solutions to strengthen the scientific attractiveness of Lower Silesia.
Participants are kindly requested to complete the registration form by March 30. For more information about the conference, please contact the International Office: international@uwr.edu.pl.
