Consultations on the strategy of the internalisation at the University of Wrocław

Representatives of the academic community of Wrocław and Opole: rectors, vice-rectors, students and doctoral students met at the University of Wrocław to discuss the Internationalisation Strategy of the Polish Higher Education and Science.

The document was presented by dr Wojciech Karczewski, director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), accompanied by prof. Andrzej Szeptycki, undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The meeting was part of a series of consultations held in Polish academic institutions. The aim of the consultations is to present the objectives of the Strategy. Opinions of representatives from universities of Wrocław and Opole, as well as student and doctoral organisations are key in the process of consultations, which is vital for further work on the document.

The document will be available to the public after it is accepted by the academic community.

  • Michał Goszczyński, director of the Department of International Cooperation in the Ministry,
  • dr Wojciech Karczewski, director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange,

members of the National Team for the Development of the Internationalisation Strategy of the Polish Higher Education and Science:

  • prof. Dominik Antonowicz, Head of the Department of Research on Science and Higher Education at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń,
  • prof. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, representative of the General Council for Science and Higher Education,
  • dr Anna Plater-Zyberk, vice-rector of the University of Gdańsk, KRASP representative, director of the Office for International Cooperation, Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • Łukasz Marczak – Representative of the Conference of Rectors of Public Vocational Universities.

Representatives of students and doctoral students:

  • Rafał Ramut, president of the National Representation of Doctoral Students,
  • Wojciech Tomaszewicz, representative of the Polish Student Parliament, press secretary of the Parliament, NAWA delegate,
  • Juliusz Mroziński, president of the University of Wrocław Doctoral Council
  • Arkadiusz Smugowski, president of the Student Government of the University of Wrocław.
