Starting a society
The perfect Club or Society for you doesn’t exist yet? Have an interest or a hobby that you’d like to share? Not a problem – you can set up your own! It could not be easier. All you need is at least five like-minded students, a name for your club, a small piece on its purpose, a statute and a guardian (see the Step By Step instruction below!).
The University of Wrocław welcomes the contributions made to student life by societies, clubs, organizations and teams. You can found a society at the University of Wrocław in the following forms:
- ‘Organization’ – a group of students or PhD candidates having a common action program, aim and tasks included in the statute (for example the International Student Network);
- ‘Team’ – a group of students or PhD candidates having a common program of activities, aim and tasks of an artistic or sports nature, which are included in the statute (for example a choir or a sports team);
- ‘Scientific Club’ – a group of students or PhD candidates having a common action program, aim and tasks included in the statute which is compatible with the scientific program of the organizational entity at which they operate (for example Law Society or Spanish Society).
You’ll meet great friends who share your interests, you’ll have some fun and you’ll get a bit of a break from your university work! And most importantly – you’ll develop your team working and leadership skills invaluable in your future professional life!
