
Senate Committees
In carrying out given objectives, the Senate establishes both ad-hoc and standing committees. The standing Senate Committees are: Finance Committee, Investment and Asset Management Committee, University Teaching Committee, Science and International Cooperation Committee, Academic Development Committee, Statutory Committee and University Ethics Committee.
The Committees’ work in accordance with approved regulations which are authorized by the Senate. The Committees can demand information and statements from all administrative units of the University, Student Council and Doctoral Student Council within its scope of jurisdiction.
The Senate appoints the members of the committee with proper representation of faculties and other administrative units in mind. Academic teachers compose the majority of the committees. Upon request by the competent councils, in each senate committee, there is one representative of the Student Council and Doctoral Student Council. In the work of the committee, representatives of trade unions active at the University (one representative of each union) are in an advisory capacity in the circumstances of the subject of work being under the scope of action of regulation concerning trade unions.
University Ethics Committee expresses its views regarding cases of infringement of the Ethical Code adopted by the Senate reported by the university community. The University Ethics Committee consists of one academic teacher from each faculty appointed by the faculty council and one representative of the general university and interdepartmental units designated by the respective council. The Chairperson of the Committee and his deputies are designated by the Senate from the members of the Committee.
