Accessibility Statement
The University of Wrocław undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.
Accessibility Statement applies to the website: https://uwr.edu.pl/en/.
Website publication date: 2022-08-31
Date of the recent update: 2026-03-03
Status of compliance with the law
The website is partially compliant with the appendix to the law of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the incompatibilities or exemptions listed below.
Inaccessible content
Non-text Content
Some non-text content, including video and audio materials, does not have appropriate text alternatives and/or audio descriptions.
Information and Relationships
In certain cases, information, structure, and relationships conveyed through presentation are not programmatically determinable or are not available to assistive technologies.
Meaningful Sequence
The reading order of content is not always programmatically defined, which may affect the correct interpretation by assistive technologies.
Contrast (Minimum)
Some text content does not meet the minimum required contrast ratio against its background.
Resize Text
When content is resized up to 200%, some elements become inaccessible. On smaller devices, high zoom levels may trigger a switch to the mobile version of the site, affecting usability.
Non-text Contrast
Certain user interface components and graphical elements do not meet the minimum contrast requirements relative to adjacent colors.
Pause, Stop, Hide
Some pages include banners or carousels that automatically rotate content without user control. The frequency of movement is less than once every 5 seconds.
Multiple Ways
On some pages, there is only one method available to locate specific content.
Language of Page
Some pages have language attributes that do not correspond to the natural language of the content.
Language of Parts
Certain sections or phrases within pages are in a different language than the main content and are not properly identified programmatically.
Name, Role, Value
For some user interface components (including form elements, links, and script-generated controls), the name, role, state, properties, and values may not be fully programmatically determinable, or changes to these elements may not be properly communicated to assistive technologies.
Decorative Elements
Decorative images are not consistently marked with empty alt attributes. The content management system requires authors to provide alternative text for all images, including purely decorative ones.
Repeated Graphical Elements
Some repeated graphical elements have inconsistent alternative text, although the descriptions generally remain accurate.
Documents
Some documents provided on the website are not fully accessible in digital formats.
Consistent Identification
Some links with identical text labels are used inconsistently across the service, which may cause confusion for users.
