
Anna Ślusarczyk winner of the competition for the best research master’s thesis
Anna Ślusarczyk, a doctoral student at the University of Wrocław, has been named the winner of the third edition of the competition for the best research master’s thesis carried out in the 2023/2024 academic year at a university headquartered in Wrocław. The competition, organised by the Wrocław Branch of the Polish Chemical Society, aims to recognise outstanding research work by young scientists.
The thesis was written under a master’s grant in the NCN OPUS-21 project, No. UMO 2021/41/B/ST4/02654, entitled “Mali, doskonale uzbrojeni wojownicy kontra potężni, pustoszący wrogowie – kompleksy modyfikowanych peptydów z ludzkiej śliny w walce z patogennymi drobnoustrojami” supervised by dr Joanna Wątły.
The thesis supervisor was dr Joanna Wątły, who also received a congratulatory letter on this occasion.
The award presentation took place on 9 December 2024 at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The winner of the competition received a cash prize of PLN 2,000, funded by the Sponsor – Apeiron Synthesis S.A., a Wrocław-based company.
