Applications now open for the 2025/2026 Bridge Scholarships

The Foundation for International Education (FEM) invites this year’s secondary school leavers from Lower Silesia to apply for the Bridge Scholarships – a prestigious support programme for ambitious young people from small towns and villages who are about to begin their academic adventure!
Applicants have the chance to receive scholarships worth PLN 10,000, paid out over the entire 2025/2026 academic year. This is real financial support that can help cover the cost of accommodation, textbooks, travel, or living expenses in a new city.
FEM – the only organisation in Lower Silesia authorised to issue recommendations – is now accepting applications for recommendations under the Bridge Scholarship Programme of the Educational Enterprise Foundation (FEP).
To apply for a scholarship, you must first request a recommendation from FEM by 5 August 2025.
Only candidates with a recommendation will be able to proceed with their application to FEP – applications submitted without a recommendation will not be considered.
Who can apply?
- Students in more difficult financial circumstances
- This year’s school leavers from towns or villages in Lower Silesia with a population of under 20,000
- Those accepted onto full-time undergraduate (bachelor’s/engineering) courses at a public university (excluding uniformed services institutions)
- Those with strong school-leaving exam (matura) results

The programme is funded by the Educational Enterprise Foundation (FEP) with the support of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, the National Bank of Poland, the BRE Bank Foundation, and many other partners. FEM covers 25% of the value of each scholarship thanks to funding from the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship as part of the “zDolny Śląsk” Scholarship Programme.
