Are we living in a new geological era – the Anthropocene?
‘Czy żyjemy w nowej epoce geologicznej – antropocenie?’ (eng. ‘Are we living in a new geological era – the Anthropocene?’) is the title of the next lecture, to which the Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of Wrocław invites everyone. The lecture will be given by dr hab. Jakub Kierczak, prof. UWr.
The lecture will focus on explaining what the Anthropocene is and why recognising it as a new geological epoch is the subject of much debate among scientists and others. Participants will look for an answer to the question of what date should be taken as the beginning of the Anthropocene. Professor Jakub Kierczak will discuss environmental changes caused by human activity.
The lecture will take place on Friday, 25 April at 3:00 p.m. at the Institute of Geological Sciences, Pl. M. Borna 9 in Wrocław and online LINK TO THE LECTURE.
