Are you interested in postgraduate studies?

In the offer of studies at the University of Wrocław from the academic year 2023/2024 there will be new fields of study, including postgraduate studies!

Postgraduate studies in a relatively short period of time will allow you to gain specialist knowledge that will help you find a job if you still don’t have one, change your job if you are not satisfied with the one you have, eliminate the feeling of insufficiency if you are a student but have the impression that you haven’t learned everything during your studies, or simply have the opportunity to improve your qualifications if you are an ambitious employee who wants to take on more and more professional challenges and strive for promotion in the company. At the University of Wrocław, the only research university in Lower Silesia, you can choose from dozens of postgraduate study programmes. Among them, for example, occupational health and safety, specialist English, journalism and public relations, communication and public relations, forensic science, general and clinical speech therapy, taxation, law in business, management psychology, educational management or employment of foreigners. In many cases, these fields of study are the only or first in our region. Most of them use the latest scientific research and teach you to look ahead.

For whom are postgraduate studies?

Postgraduate study is open to people who hold a university degree. No matter whether it is a bachelor’s, master’s or engineering degree. If you are just pursuing a master’s degree and are already thinking about upgrading your qualifications – you are welcome to enrol in postgraduate studies while you are already studying. However, postgraduate studies are not for you if you are fresh out of high school – in that case, we encourage you to take up a bachelor’s degree and only then postgraduate studies, a master’s degree or, better still, both.

How long do postgraduate studies last?

Postgraduate studies usually last for two years and take place in a part-time (extramural) format. Sessions are held two to three times a month, so you can easily combine postgraduate studies with a full-time or evening master’s degree. If you are studying for your master’s degree part-time, it may cost you a little bit of effort to coordinate your classes with your postgraduate studies, but it is not at all impossible. After two years of study, you will receive your certificate of completed postgraduate studies.
