Arqus Human Rights Café „Voices from the Peripheries”

On 10th April, another edition of the Arqus Human Rights Cafe series took place at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wrocław, this time under the theme “Voices from the Peripheries”. The meeting brought together several students from different countries, creating a space for the exchange of diverse perspectives and experiences related to human rights.

The Wrocław session included a series of events organised within the Arqus Alliance, previously held in Padua, Graz, Braga, Granada, Lyon, and Leipzig. The event was organised in cooperation with the Italian association SET Europe.

The meeting formed part of a co-designed project funded by the Arquis Innovation Fund, whose main objective is to jointly develop grassroots educational and social initiatives, including student-led projects, responding to contemporary global challenges. During the discussion, participants addressed key contemporary issues such as discrimination based on nationality, the homelessness crisis, racism, and the rise of populism. In a welcoming atmosphere, accompanied by coffee and refreshments, conversations often moved beyond the mail framework of the debate, allowing voices rarely represented in mainstream public discourse to be heard.
