Opening of COST Regaining linkage at the UWr Faculty of Social Sciences

On April 2-3, the meeting of the COST Action scientific network “Regaining Linkage? Digital Technologies Improving Civic Engagement, Political Organizations and Democracy” (RELINK²) is held. The meeting is hosted by the Institute of Political Science at the University of Wroclaw. The event brings together more than 60 researchers and invited guests from 29 countries to debate artificial intelligence and its potential for civic and political engagement, digital competence in democracy, and the digitization of political organizations.

Silver ‘Gloria Artis’ for prof. Anna Markowska from the Institute of Art History at the University of Wrocław

During the anniversary conference celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, on 28 March in Warsaw, prof. dr hab. Anna Kutaj-Markowska, head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Institute of Art History at the University of Wrocław, received an award from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Anna Kutaj-Markowska, head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Institute of Art History at the University of Wrocław, received the silver Gloria Artis Medal for Cultural Achievement from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage at the anniversary conference celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Polish Institute for Polish Institute of World Art Studies in Warsaw on 28 March.

Blended Intensive Programme Wine in Language, Literature and Culture

The Department of Bohemian Studies at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University of Wrocław is organising an innovative scientific and didactic-training programme Wine in Language, Literature and Culture from 17-21 March 2025, during which students from partner universities – L’Orientale University of Naples, Masaryk University in Brno and the University of Ostrava – together with students of Czech philology, will take part in interdisciplinary activities with the theme of wine culture in its broadest sense and its echoes in contemporary humanities.
