The Choir Gaudium of the University of Wrocław under the direction of prof. Alan Urbanek added splendour to the award ceremony.

The badge of honour “Wrocław Freedom” is awarded to people who, during the communist dictatorship before 1989, while being members of the community of the University of Wrocław (employees or students), stood up for fundamental values such as: freedom, truth, justice, human dignity.
