A series of free workshops dedicated to raising awareness among the academic community about unequal treatment and discrimination of students and doctoral students is currently underway. The workshops also provide them with competences that enable them to learn effectively during their university and doctoral studies, along with conscious planning of their career paths.

On Wednesday, 29 October, at 5 p.m., at the C.H.Beck law bookshop at ul. Kiełbaśnicza 25 in Wrocław, there will be a meeting with dr hab. Izabella Gil, professor at the University of Wrocław, on the occasion of the launch of her textbook ‘Zarys postępowania cywilnego’.

On behalf of the organisers – Student Scientific Association “Neuron” and the Faculty Student Self-Government Council of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology Faculty of Information and Communication Technology – we would like to invite students to participate in the “Heroes of the Brain” Neurohackathon, which will take place on November 29th and November 30th, 2025 in building D-21 of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Due to the considerable interest in the col. dr Anna Osowska-Rembecka Competition for the Best Diploma Thesis, as well as numerous requests for an extension of the submission period, the deadline for submitting entries has been extended to 15 November 2025.

On behalf of the National Research Institute NASK and the Digital Dialogue Association, we invite female students of ICT-related fields (covering broadly defined areas connected with technology, telecommunications, and selected STEM disciplines – such as computer science, mathematics, and engineering) to take part in the Digital Opportunities Club project, implemented with funding from the European Funds for Social Development. The Jedliniok Song and Dance Ensemble is announcing recruitment for the 2025 season. New classes will begin on 6 October and will take place on Mondays and Thursdays at the University of Environmental and Life Sciences sports hall, ul. Chełmońskiego 43.

FameLab is the world’s largest science communication competition, which returned to Poland last year after a few years’ break thanks to the efforts of the University of Silesia. This year’s edition will once again take place in Katowice.

We are pleased to announce that the University of Wrocław has taken on the role of Academic Partner for HackYeah 2025 – the largest hackathon in Europe, which this year returns to TAURON Arena Kraków.

Contrary to the common understanding of a “barbarian” as a primitive and brutal individual, in archaeology the term carries no negative connotations. It was borrowed from Roman historians, who used it to describe peoples living outside the Roman Empire and not speaking Latin.
