The new palm house in the botanical garden of the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the University of Wrocław is set to be completed in about two years. Maciej Marzecki is the project’s architect, and Berger Bau is the project’s building company.
Department of Czech Studies of the UWr Institute of Slavic Studies invites you to the Festival of Non-Foreign Literature, 2nd edition, which will be held on 15-16 November 2024 in Wrocław. This year’s edition of the Festival will focus on Czech, German, and Yiddish literatures.

Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Hanna Wróblewska appointed professor Krzysztof Ruchniewicz as director of Witold Pilecki’s Institute of Solidarity and Courage. His five-year term in office starts on 5 November 2024. Dr Wojciech Kozłowski, who had been the acting director of the Institute, will assume the position of vice-director.

In 2024, the University of Wrocław received a prestigious grant as part of the international DUT call 2022 competition, announced under the co-financed partnership Horyzont Europa Driving Urban Transitions.
