This year, just before the recruitment for the next academic year, individual faculties and institutes of the University of Wrocław will organise OPEN DAYS. This will be a series of events during which candidates for studies at our University will have the opportunity to get to know the fields of study, scientific associations, see the buildings of the faculty or institute, listen to interesting popular science lectures, meet their future lecturers, talk to students of specific fields of study and, of course, find out everything about the university recruitment procedure. Below you will find information about the Open Days – the list will be updated regularly as we receive information from the individual units.

The first edition of the Artificial Intelligence Olympiad starts today, 22 April. The initiative is the result of extensive cooperation between four Polish universities: Jagiellonian University, Adam Mickiewicz University, the University of Warsaw and the University of Wrocław (Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science). The aim of the Olympiad is to select a four-person team to represent Poland at the International Olympiad of Artificial Intelligence for secondary school students (IOAI) , which will be held in Burgas (Bulgaria) from 9-15 August this year.

From 15 to 20 April, the Digital Justice Center had the pleasure of hosting a Professor from the University of Cologne, Thomasa Weigenda. This has been verified by researchers from the University of Wrocław and the Wrocław Medical University. National Geographic has just written about the research project „Odtworzenie i analiza preparatów leczniczych zidentyfikowanych na podstawie egodokumentów epoki staropolskiej (XVI-XVIII wiek)” (Reconstruction and analysis of medicinal preparations identified on the basis of Old Polish documents (16th-18th century)).

We invite adult women to participate in scientific research titled: “Functioning of women with irritable bowel syndrome; psychophysiological and nutritional aspects.” The research is carried out by the Eating Behaviour Research Laboratory (EAT Lab) team at the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wrocław. This research project received permission from the Committee for the Ethics of Scientific Research at the UWr Institute of Psychology. (permission number: 2023/ACDRT).
