    The employees of the Department of Microbial Ecology and Acarontomology at the University of Wrocław would like to invite you to an open lecture as part of the visiting professor programme (IDUB), which will be given by prof. Marco Pombi from the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases – Parasitology Section at the University of Rome ‘Sapienza’.

    April 2025 marks the double and round jubilee of two important events in the history of Poland: The 1000th anniversary of the coronation of its first king and the 500th anniversary of the Prussian Homage. On this occasion, the University Library in Wrocław is presenting the most valuable objects from its collections. Mainly artefacts related to the history of Poland during this period or those times, including manuscripts, antique prints, maps and iconography.

    The prestigious journal Nature Communications has published an article entitled Evidence of isospin-symmetry violation in high-energy collisions of atomic nuclei (pl. Dowód naruszenia symetrii izospinowej w wysokoenergetycznych zderzeniach jąder atomowych). The authors of the publication are scientists from the NA61/SHINE group, which includes researchers from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Wrocław: Z. Fodor, M. Kuchowicz, M. Lewicki, M. Naskręt, R. Szukiewicz, L. Turko, O. Vitiuk and E. Zherebtsova.

    During the anniversary conference celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies, on 28 March in Warsaw, prof. dr hab. Anna Kutaj-Markowska, head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Institute of Art History at the University of Wrocław, received an award from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
