The Library of the University of Wrocław just implemented the state-of-the-art Alma system and began co-cataloguing with the National Library of Poland. The cooperation within the nationwide librarian network, made possible due to unified rules of cataloguing, benefits both librarians, who may now manage the collections more efficiently, and readers, who gain broader, quicker and more transparent access to the information.

On 17 October 2025, the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław will host professor Jon Saklofske from Acadia University (Nova Scotia, Canada), whose visit is part of the Visiting Professors programme. Professor Saklofske will give a lecture entitled ‘Beyond Ego: Pedagogies of kindness and deterministic responsibilities in university learning.’ The meeting will take place at 11:00 a.m. in Amphitheatre A, in building C of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at ul. Więzienna 8/12.
On August 29-31, the European Rover Challenge 2025 took place at AGH University of Kraków. At this prestigious, strongly connected to the space sector event, University of Wrocław’s Faculty of Social Sciences was represented by a 3-person team — dr. hab. Bartosz Smolik, Paweł Skorb and Damian Wochnik.
From 22 to 26 September 2025, Wrocław will host the 67th Scientific Congress of the Polish Chemical Society, organised jointly by Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the University of Wrocław, and Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. This year’s edition takes place under the motto “Building Bridges to New Discoveries”, which refers both to the symbolism of Wrocław’s bridges and to the idea of connecting different fields of chemistry, research environments, universities, fundamental and applied research, as well as fostering relationships between early-career and experienced researchers, and between academia and industry.
