Monika Wiktoria Pawlik, a graduate student at the University of Wrocław, was awarded second place in the Wrocławska Magnolia competition for her thesis entitled „Śmiertelność chrząszczy biegaczowatych (Coleoptera Carabidea) w śmieciach wrocławskich lasów” (“Mortality of ground beetles (Coleoptera Carabidea) in the litter of Wrocław’s forests”). The awards were presented by the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk.

Today is not only a celebration of our Polish language. On International Mother Language Day, we celebrate the whole mosaic of the world’s languages – from those that resound in big cities to those that echo in small communities. Each language, each dialect is a story of people, their history and their culture.

On 19-20 February 2024, a scientific conference entitled ‘Deutschland und Polen: schwierige Geschichte, aktuelle Herausforderungen, gemeinsame Zukunft’ (Germany and Poland: difficult history, current challenges, common future) was held at the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wrocław and the UWr Institute for International and Security Studies.

Established in 2020, the Polish Science Day is an opportunity to recall the fundamental importance of scientific research for the development of the country. It has also become an opportunity to honour those particularly involved in scientific and academic activities with the Awards of the Minister of Science.

W ubiegłym tygodniu Wydziale Chemii odbyła się IV Konferencja dla Nauczycieli Chemii, zorganizowana we współpracy z Okręgową komisją Egzaminacyjną we Wrocławiu. Konferencja miała zasięg ogólnopolski, oprócz nauczycieli ze szkół z Dolnego Śląska uczestniczyli w niej nauczyciele z woj. opolskiego, małopolskiego, śląskiego, w sumie 130 nauczycieli.
