The 7th International Lithuania Congress concluded at the University of Wrocław. The conference commemorated several important anniversaries for Lithuania, such as the 20th anniversary of its accession to the European Union and NATO and the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendly Relations with Poland.

Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław invites to the registration for the postgraduate studies, ‘Transformacja energetyczno-klimatyczna. Prawo odnawialnych źródeł energii’ (eng. Energetic-climatic transformation. The law of the renewable energy sources) in the academic year 2024/2025.

In the Oratorium Marianum, those honoured with the ‘’Wrocław Freedom’’ badge gathered on Wednesday, 5 June, but above all friends and acquaintances from the years when a free Poland was fought for.

At the headquarters of the Centre for Student and Doctoral Activities of the University of Wrocław, another Exchange of Scientific Associations took place, with 18 student associations and organisations taking part.

6 czerwca mija 35 lat od oficjalnego zdjęcia Bolesława Bieruta z szyldu naszej Alma Mater. 5 czerwca 2024 roku wręczono 35 Odznak honorowych „Wrocławska Wolność” przyznawanych osobom, które w okresie dyktatury komunistycznej przed 1989 rokiem, będąc członkami społeczności Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego (pracownikami lub studentami) stawały w obronie podstawowych wartości, takich jak wolność, prawda, sprawiedliwość oraz godność człowieka.

Twenty seven researchers from the UWr will be granted with PLN 40 million to realize their own projects as a result of the OPUS 26 and SONATA 19 Projects of the National Science Centre. Scholars from the Faculty of Biotechnology and the Faculty of Biological Sciences are among those, who have received grants.

Twenty-five projects were submitted for this year’s edition of the Academic Open Budget. The project with the highest number of votes was project No. 10 – Academic Recreation Base, submitted jointly by the library of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (WPAiE) and the Digital Justice Center.

Last year’s edition of the Lower Silesian Science Festival was awarded in the Popularyzacja nauki (Popularisation of Science) category of the PRom Association competition. The annual awards were presented on 3 June in Katowice.
