    The Institute of Polish Studies at the University of Wrocław, together with the Society of Friends of Polish Studies in Wrocław, invite you to the 30th edition of the popular science lecture series on Polish studies, ‘Meetings at Nehring’, organised in the 2025/2026 academic year. The next lecture in the series will be Młodopolska fantastyka naukowa i jej proroctwa, given by dr Fryderyk Nguyen.

    We begin the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the University of Wrocław with the concert “History in Song”, which will take place on Wednesday, 12 November at 4:00 p.m. in the Aula Leopoldina. The Rector of the University of Wrocław, professor Robert Olkiewicz, warmly invites our entire university community to this special event.

    Our researcher, dr Ewa Górska from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, is a finalist of the 21st edition of the competition “Popularyzator Nauki” (Science Popularizer). Results will be announced in November.

    “Hartman’s Letter” became the stuff of legend due to both the circumstances surrounding it and its timeless message, although for many years it was known only within the community of mathematicians. Since the students had taken the trouble to copy it down, it must have made quite an impression on them!

    Our researchers will pursue research activities owing to National Science Centre grants. They will not only work on complicated physics or computer science matters, but even French terminology associated with colorings and pigments.
