As part of the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme, the Faculty of Neophilology will host Professor Catriona Seth from the University of Oxford, a distinguished scholar of eighteenth-century literature and culture. In 2025, two equal awards in the category of theoretical aspects of computer science were given to dr Piotr Ostropolski-Nalewaja from the University of Wrocław and Marek Sokołowski from the University of Warsaw, and in the category of applied computer science to Marcin Sendera from the Jagiellonian University.
