The journal Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters, whose editorial office is located at the Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Wrocław, has once again achieved an increase in its Impact Factor of 9.2 (five-year IF: 8.1), remaining among the leading journals published worldwide in fields related to biochemistry and molecular cell biology and achieving the highest result among all journals published in Poland.

Minister of Science Dariusz Wieczorek met with representatives of the Independent Students Union on June 25 in Warsaw. The meeting was also an opportunity to honor this year’s Student Nobel laureates.

The film essay workshop organised by the Institute of Cultural Studies of the University of Wrocław in cooperation with the Łódź Film School ended.

The University of Wrocław was ranked fifth in the ranking published on June 26 by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation University Ranking 2024. In mid-June 2024, the first edition of the humanities seminar Sudety – Literatura – Podróż, dedicated to the Giant Mountains, ended. The theme of the project was Sudeten literary geography in informal education with a focus on history, contemporaneity and transborderity.

The Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław teaches the best lawyers in Poland, and university candidates already know it! FLAE UWr ranked third in the 13th edition of the “Rzeczpospolita” Ranking of Law Faculties in the category of public universities, and first in terms of popularity of universities among candidates wishing to study law.

Presenting women as having achieved something important in a particular field of science sometimes makes audiences find the field less attractive, a study conducted in Poland has shown.
