It is with deep regret that we inform you that prof. dr hab. Mroziński passed away on 23 October 2024. Retired academic teacher at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Wrocław. Long-time Head of the Molecular Magnetism Group and Head of the Department of Chemistry Didactics.

The fourth World Conference on Physics Education was held at the Jagiellonian University in August. One of the organisers of the event was the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Wrocław.

Over a month has passed since the catastrophic flood which in September 2024 affected a huge area of Central and Eastern Europe. We followed its enormous social and economic effects in the media. Ladies and gentlemen, Dear Colleagues, in the last days of October- as in the previous years – the University Committee for the Care of Graves of the University of Wrocław Deserved Members will organise the “Academic Memorial Candle”. Its aim is to cultivate the memory of the deceased professors and other distinguished members of our university community and to take care of their graves in the cemeteries around Wrocław. For this purpose, we will clean together their graves, put flowers and light the candles.

The 2024/2025 academic year also began with the UWr University of the Third Age students. In the presence of the Vice-Rector for student affairs of the University of Wrocław, dr Łukasz Prus, representatives of the authorities of the City of Wrocław, senior organisations, friendly institutions, the banner of the University of Wrocław were introduced for the first time in the history of the University of the Third Age at the opening ceremony of the new academic year. In the banner’s guards – students of the University of the Third Age. In this way, 25 years of seniors’ presence in the structures of the University of Wrocław were highlighted.

Teachers, educators, caregivers and all those interested in the topic of air protection are invited to a free classroom training course entitled “GIS w pomiarach jakości powietrza”.
