The Institute of Geography and Regional Development has been conducting research related to hydrological forecasting for more than a decade, in which drones are used to verify the results. Our scientists are also carrying out research into changes in the landscape caused by storm surges.
For the past week, nothing has been more important than securing the University against flooding. I set up an emergency team on Monday to monitor the situation in all the facilities of our University. The buildings are secured and placed under constant surveillance by University Services.

It is with great joy that we announce that the Gaudium Choir of the University of Wrocław, under the direction of prof. Alan Urbanek, achieved a significant success at the 13th International Canto Mediterrania Choir Competition in Lloret de Mar, which took place from 10-15 September 2024. After months of intensive preparation and rehearsals, their efforts resulted in winning the Gold Diploma in the Sacred Music category.
