    Social Analytics is a new field of study offered at our University starting in the 2024/2025 academic year. These will be full-time first-cycle studies. The classes will be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences of our university. It is a filed of study for those who want to combine knowledge of social reality with practical skills to study it and process large sets of empirical data for business decisions and strategies, among other things. Recruitment for this direction is already underway, and details can be found at www.rekrutacja.uni.wroc.pl.

    The Polish Physical Society (Wrocław branch) has announced the winners of the second edition of the prize for young scientists for the best scientific paper in physics published in 2023. The main prize (ex-aequo) was won by Agnieszka Jeżdżewska, a first-year master’s student at the University of Wrocław.

    We are delighted to announce that on June 13, 2024, at the Digital Justice Center, the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics of the University of Wrocław, the unveiling of our latest (surprising!) project – a mural – took place. This work of art was crafted by the renowned artist, Professor Paul Catanese from Columbia College Chicago.

    On 12 June, another meeting was held as part of a seminar aimed at physics teachers entitled Problemy dydaktyki fizyki (eng. Problems of the didactics of physics), organised by the Department of Physics Teaching at the UWr Institute of Experimental Physics and the Wrocław Branch of the Polish Physical Society.

    The Children’s University Foundation has awarded researchers. Among the award winners was dr Aleksandra Hecel-Czaplicka, who received the title “Lecturer of the Year 2023/2024 of the Children’s University”, for creating an extraordinary space for experimentation during the workshop ‘Dlaczego słodka cola jest kwaśna dla chemika?’ (eng. Why is sweet cola sour for a chemist?). For her professionalism and kindness at every stage of the collaboration.
