The Stanisław Vincenz Legacy Research Workshop invites you to an open seminar inspired by the thought and work of the author of the Na wysokiej połoninie (eng. On the high mountain pastures) cycle – focused on friendship, dialogue, and intercultural community. The event will take place on Tuesday, 24 June at 5:00 p.m. at the Institute of Polish Studies (ul. Plac Nankiera 15b, room 125, Tadeusz Mikulski Lecture Hall).
148 speakers from over 30 universities in Europe, Asia and North America participated in the BEYOND LANGUAGE 2025 conference this year. Eight days – five European cities (Warsaw, Bucharest, Lviv, Wrocław, Poznań) – a multitude of unique spots on the world’s intellectual map! Transdisciplinary exploration of thoughts and perspectives. Three continents – 111 papers – 48 hours of presentations, debates, and academic sessions. For a while, each of the cities on the BEYOND LANGUAGE map became an intellectual epicentre, a large-scale microcosm.
On 6-7 June 2025, the second edition of the International BioLOCK Conference took place at the Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Wrocław.
On Friday, 27 June, Wrocław will host a global celebration of the Year of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis – the Lithuanian artist, composer, and painter. At 5:00 p.m., the baroque Aula Leopoldina at the University of Wrocław will resound with the concert Hommage à Čiurlionis. The performance will be given by the State Chamber Choir “Polifonija” from Lithuania, widely regarded as one of the finest choirs in Europe.

On Friday, 13 June 2025, the General Assembly approved the applications of the University of Leeds (United Kingdom), Newcastle University (United Kingdom), and the University of Wrocław (Poland). Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union is drawing to a close. One of the final and significant events of this presidency was the European University Alliances Forum, held on 12–13 June at the Library of the University of Wrocław.
