    The staff of the Faculty of Biological Sciences invites you to an open lecture by prof. Tomas Pinos Figueras, entitled: “Molecular insights into McArdle’s disease. Similarities and differences with other glycogen storage diseases and current therapeutic strategies.”

    Dr Stanisław Rogowski, born in Wschowa on 1 May 1946, died on 25 December 2024. The funeral ceremony will take place on 8 January 2025 at 1.00 p.m. in the chapel at the St Lawrence Parish cemetery at ul. Bujwida.

    Dr Joanna Zakolska, born on 8 February 1974 in Opole, passed away on 20 December 2024. The funeral ceremony will take place on 11 January 2025 at 11.50 am in the chapel at Osobowicki Cemetery.

    On January 12, at 6:30 p.m., prominent pianist Eric Lu will perform at the next recital in the Chopin Recitals concert series at the Oratorium Marianum hall of the University of Wrocław. The American artist is a laureate of the 17th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw and winner of the 19th Leeds International Piano Competition.

    The research carried out as part of this Polish-Italian project could play a key role in the development of innovative antimicrobial therapies that will be effective in the future in the fight against growing antibiotic resistance, while also making an important contribution to the fight against the global health crisis.

    On 31.12.2024, Kazimiera (Grażyna) Małkowicz, a long-standing employee of the Bursar’s Office of the University of Wrocław, died at the age of 90.
    Mass will be held in the chapel of the Osobowicki Cemetery in Wrocław on 09.01.2025 at 11.20 a.m. The mass will be followed by the escort of the deceased to her resting place, as sadly announced by her family.

    Jakub Szabunia’s master’s thesis entitled “Podmiotowość prawnomiędzynarodowa sportowych organizacji pozarządowych,” written under the supervision of prof. Barbara Mielnik of the Department of International and European Lawat the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław was awarded in the 10th “Olympic Logos” Competition.
