The University of Wrocław is holding an international conference called “Social boundaries of work: Critical Labour Studies in the Times of a Polycrisis.”

In his day, Fidel Castro was fond of referring to the American constitution, and the Cuban Revolution would find followers among the American people. Kennedy initially wanted “a peaceful revolution” but then he endorsed attempts of overthrowing the Cuban government.

The next international Open Access Week will take place from 21 to 27 October 2024. To mark the occasion, the Wrocław University Library has prepared events to promote Open Science, including a contest and meetings with representatives of leading publishers that the University of Wrocław subscribes to.

15 października 2024 r. podpisano umowę na odbudowę palmiarni w Ogrodzie Botanicznym Wydziału Nauk Biologicznych UWr. Ze strony UWr umowę podpisał Rektor UWr prof. Robert Olkiewicz, ze strony inwestora pan Tomasz Lorkowski, prezes firmy Berger Bau.

The 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to a South Korean writer, Han Kang. Dr Hae Sung Lee from the Korean team at the Institute of Classical, Mediterranean and Oriental Studies believes this is a sign that Korea is transforming from a cultural power into a truly culturally rich nation.
