Based at the Institute of German Studies within the Faculty of Letters, the journal Linguistische Treffen in Wrocław was accepted for indexing in the Web of Science (Emerging Sources Citation Index), on March 6, 2026. The journal publishes research articles across the broad field of linguistics, as well as review articles and reports on academic events.
In 2024, the University Library (BUWr) received funding of PLN 33,579.00 for the project: “Upowszechnienie przedwojennych dysertacji Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego w katalogu online BUWr.” This project was funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the programme „Social Responsibility of Science II – Support for Scientific Libraries.” The comprehensive retrospective computer processing of selected items was conducted by the staff of the Silesian-Lusatian Documentation Department. The project ran from December 2, 2024, to March 1, 2026.

One of the lecturers of the extracurricular course ‘Your Future Skills’ is Anna Cieślik – a graduate of psychology at the University of Wrocław, lecturer, trainer and founder of ‘Pracownia Rozwoju’ (Development Workshop). Her classes as a part of the extracurricular course are a unique opportunity to work on mental resilience, emotion management, motivation and communication under the guidance of an experienced specialist.
Passengers on Wrocław’s MPK will be able to turn their daily commute to school, work, or shopping into a real journey through time. An educative campaign marking the Women’s History Month is currently being launched by a team led by dr Dorota Wiśniewska, assistant professor at the Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław, in cooperation with the Public Transport Company in Wrocław.
On 10-12 February 2026, the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wrocław hosted the MOFebruary 2026 Symposium, focused on research into porous materials, including MOFs (eng. Metal-Organic Frameworks). The event was a gesture of recognition by the Polish scientific community towards the winners of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry: Richard Robson, Omar Yaghi, and Susumu Kitagawa. The initiative to integrate the Polish MOF community was met with an enthusiastic response from many scientists – over 70 participants representing numerous universities and research institutes from Poland and abroad took part in the symposium.
On 25 February 2026, the Senate of the University of Wrocław resolved to confer the title of Doctor Honoris Causa upon the outstanding writer, poet, essayist, translator, musician and social activist Serhiy Zhadan, widely regarded as one of the most important witnesses of his time and one of the moral consciences of contemporary Ukraine.
