    A meeting between the Prime Minister of India and a group of Polish indologists representing four academic centres (UW, UJ, UAM and UWr) where indological studies are conducted took place in Warsaw. The University of Wrocław was represented at this meeting by dr hab. Przemysław Szczurek, prof. UWr, from the Department of Indian Studies (at the Institute of Classical, Mediterranean and Oriental Studies).

    Prof. dr hab. Edward Białek, the historian of literature, and head of the Department of Literature Didactics at the Institute of German Studies, was honoured with the Andreas Gryphius Prize for 2024, awarded for his significant contribution to the promotion of dialogue between Poles and Germans.
