It has begun! The engine has started … it’s no longer standing at the station … the wheels are spinning one after the other – it’s not yet gliding on the tracks, but it’s on the right tracks. TUTORING has just started to happen at the University of Wrocław. By the Rector’s Ordinance of 14 April 2023 defined the rules for the implementation of classes conducted in the form of tutoring on full-time studies at our University.

On 18 March 2024 (Monday) at 11:00 a.m. in the Andrzej Mycielski Room in Building D of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics (ul. Uniwersytecka 7-10, 3rd floor), a university election debate will commence with a presentation of the candidates for Rector of the University of Wrocław. The debate is open to the entire university community (employees, doctoral students, students).

Mgr Piotr Hildt – teatrolog, krytyk teatralny – został członkiem Komisji Artystycznej Ogólnopolskiego Konkursu na Wystawienie Polskiej Sztuki Współczesnej, organizowanego przez Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego oraz Instytut Teatralny im. Zbigniewa Raszewskiego w Warszawie.

On 14 March 2024, an agreement was signed with the trade unions operating at the University of Wrocław on a salary rise for academic staff. It will amount to 30% on the basic salary rate. The first payment of the increased salary will be made in April, while the compensation from January will be paid in May.

On 20 March 2024 at 6.00 p.m., a Charity Concert “We play for Sebastian” organised by the Faculty of Letters of the University of Wrocław will take place at the Oratorium Marianum.

The year 2024 is an election year. We encourage you to find out more about the UWr Rector election calendar, the elections to the University Electoral College for the 2024-2028 term and the programmes of individuals who declare their willingness to participate in the elections for Rector.

Ruszył nabór wniosków do Konkursu Wsparcia Współpracy z Otoczeniem Społeczno-Gospodarczym UWr

Na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim rozpoczął się nabór wniosków w Konkursie Wsparcia Współpracy z Otoczeniem Społeczno-Gospodarczym. Skany podpisanych wniosków można składać do 8 kwietnia na adres ctt@uwr.edu.pl, a 15 kwietnia na stronie www.uwr.edu.pl zostaną ogłoszone wyniki.

A short joint visit to Washington by president Andrzej Duda and prime minister Donald Tusk at the invitation of president Joe Biden raised a lot of emotions in Poland. We asked prof. Anna Pacześniak from the Institute of European Studies at the University of Wrocław, who is on a research internship at the University of Houston (as part of the IDUB programme) to comment on the event.
