World War II changed both the political situation and the sports landscape in Europe. The communist authorities of the Eastern part of the continent relatively quickly noticed the political potential of sport and attempted appropriating it and using it for achieving their particularist goals.

Already on 4 August, the Student Scientific Association of Geologists, under the honorary patronage of His Magnificence Rector prof. Robert Olkiewicz, sets out for the Baltic Sea on board the STS Generał Zaruski. This beautiful wooden sailing ship, the flagship of the City of Gdańsk, is an heir to General Mariusz Zaruski’s idea of sailing education for Poles and a monument to the art of boatbuilding.

We are launching the next edition of the ACADEMY OF TUTORING course on 14 September. We invite all those interested in improving the quality of academic and school teaching. In addition to practical, ready-to-use theoretical foundations, participants of the ACADEMY OF TUTORING course will also receive: ready-to-use tools for use in tutoring work, the opportunity to enrich one’s own work with mentees with interdisciplinary tutoring methods.
