In today’s world, where personal development, practical skills and professional experience play a key role, cooperation between universities and companies in the field of student activities opens new opportunities for students. Taking this into account, the University of Wrocław, thanks to talks initiated by the Centre for Technology Transfer, signed a framework cooperation agreement with Smith & Nephew.
On 12 April, the Faculty of Social Sciences held the Open Days. Among the many attractions prepared for applicants were workshops on cyber security, artificial intelligence and social project management, simulations of UN deliberations, a lecture on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and a philosophical field game on the search for humanity. The event was also a great opportunity to talk to our students and lecturers and practice English at a speaking club organised by the Welcome Centre WNS UWr.
This seminar series, organised and facilitated by Maynooth University, invites researchers and practitioners across Arqus Alliance universities, who are already engaging or have just started the process of engagement with English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in their institutions. The series is seen as an interactive and supportive forum for practitioners and researchers to engage in regular dialogue to exchange experiences of EMI and become familiar with ongoing research in the field, with a view to improving practices and engagement with EMI across the Alliance.
Dr hab. Antoni Muszer from the Institute of Geological Sciences at the University of Wrocław and dr Piotr Wojtulek, a geologist and lawyer dealing with petrology, economic geology and geological and mining law – have become members of the Earth Resources Management Council of the Minister of Climate and Environment.
