A team of scientists from the Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Wrocław, composed of: Karolina Pląskowska, dr Łukasz Makowski, dr Agnieszka Strzałka, prof. dr hab. Jolanta Zakrzewska-Czerwińska, received the Prof. Bassalik, awarded by the Committee on Molecular Biology of the Cell of the Polish Academy of Sciences, for the best work in the field of microbiology created in a Polish laboratory. The work of the awarded team has also been published in the prestigious journal mBio (American Society of Microbiology).

On Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1.00 p.m. in the Senate Hall of the University of Wrocław, a preliminary agreement was signed on the co-organization of the Wrocław Juwenalia 2025.

The management of the Institute of Geography and Regional Development and the Prof. Tadeusz Dorobisz Regional Centre for Blood Donation and Haemotherapy in Wrocław invite you to an action of honour blood donation, which will take place on 24 February 2025 between 9:00 and 13:00 in the Library of the Institute of Geography and Regional Development of the University of Wrocław (pl. The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław will be implementing the WEAVE UNISONO research grant in a trilateral cooperation between the German Research Foundation agency, the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the Polish National Science Centre agency.

Seven Wrocław research centres, including our University represented by Rector prof. Robert Olkiewicz, signed an agreement to consolidate activities in order to jointly build strong research and development facilities and strengthen the city’s position as a significant scientific centre. This is the first step towards a Wrocław centre of excellence.

An interuniversity team of scientists, including University of Wrocław biologist dr Katarzyna Kliś, presents in the journal Scientific Reports how air pollution affects human biological development.
