UL: Competitions and prizes

The UWr Student Scientific Association of Geologists has been nominated in the national StRuNa competition. On 18 November at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, our geologists will compete with 25 other student circles and organisations for the title of Project of the Year, presenting their project „Poszukiwanie, separacja oraz analiza składu chemicznego i fazowego miejskich mikrometeorytów” (‘Exploration, separation and analysis of the chemical and phase composition of urban micrometeorites’).

Prof. Marcin Stępień from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Wrocław is one of four recipients of the 2023 FNP (Foundation for Polish Science Award). He received the award in the area of chemical and material sciences for the design and preparation of new aromatic compounds with unique structures and properties.

The call for applications for the 2nd edition of the Young Researcher 2023-2025 Grants competition under the Initiative for Excellence – University Research (IDUB) programme is now open. The grants are intended to support the development of scientific and research competences of students and doctoral students of the University of Wrocław by facilitating contacts with the international research community.
There are PLN 5,000 to win in the fourth edition of the EkoMasters competition. The prizes will be divided among the teams which, in the jury’s opinion, will present the best projects. Tegorocznym laureatem Nagroda Heisiga został prof.
