    Our researchers will pursue research activities owing to National Science Centre grants. They will not only work on complicated physics or computer science matters, but even French terminology associated with colorings and pigments.

    This coming Saturday, 8 November, a science weekend entitled “OMG – Observatory of Young Geniuses” will begin at the Astronomical Institute of the University of Wrocław.

    On October 30, 2025, the University of Wrocław and the International Centre for Training and Research on Cultural Heritage in Danger signed a cooperation agreement.

    In one of the episodes of Herbatki z Naukowcem on Radio Rodzina, we have the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of Earth sciences with prof. Mateusz Strzelecki, head of the Department of Geomorphology at the Institute of Geography and Regional Development of the University of Wrocław, and director of the Alfred Jahn Cold Regions Research Centre. He is a geomorphologist and researcher specialising in polar regions.

    Until 28 October, another edition of the international Escapetruck project will be running in Poland. The vehicle has visited several cities across the country, including Płock, Słupsk, Kołobrzeg, and Zielona Góra. This is a unique educational initiative aimed at raising public awareness of human trafficking in Poland.

    Prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, the rector of the University of Wrocław, and project leader from the Educational Research Institute, Michał Nowakowski, have inaugurated a collaboration as part of the project “Microcredentials – piloting a new solution to support lifelong learning” (Polish: „Mikropoświadczenia – pilotaż nowego rozwiązania wspierającego uczenie się przez całe życie”) funded by the European Union within the European Funds for Social Development programme 2021-2027. (FERS).

    On 22–23 October 2025, participants of the 3rd National Congress on Security Studies, held in Wrocław, reflected on the opportunities, challenges, and directions for the development of this scientific discipline.

    On Wednesday, 22 October, a workshop for academic and administrative staff from the Arqus Alliance universities began, dedicated to the topic of microcredentials. The three-day event is organised by the International Office of the University of Wrocław.

    Certified first aid training sessions have begun at the University of Wrocław. In October and November, 500 members of staff will receive training.
