    We are pleased to announce that prof. Marta Osypińska from the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Wrocław has signed a cooperation agreement with the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI), concerning the implementation of the first Polish archaeological project in Tanzania’s history.

    The thirteenth International Staff Training Week, organised by the International Office, took place between 19 and 23 May 2025. This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming participants from universities in Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Spain, Vietnam, Ghana, Lithuania, Germany, Scotland and Chile.

    The University of Wrocław has been selected by the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) as one of two Polish universities that will conduct a live connection with the International Space Station (ISS). Our University has defeated multiple academic centres in prestigious eliminations, winning recognition for its involvement in science popularisation and educational activity.

    The Academy of Young Scholars and Artists is recruiting new members. This year will mark 15 years since the establishment of this first-in-Poland platform for cooperation and intellectual exchange dedicated to outstanding young science students.

    The Foundation for Polish Science has announced the results of the 1/2024 call for proposals under the FIRST TEAM activity funded by the National Centre for Research and Development. A total of 174 projects were submitted for the call, and funding (amounting to nearly PLN 71 million) was awarded to 18 projects. Among them is “PROT-TOWING: opracowanie innowacyjnej technologii molekularnego holowania do selektywnej inaktywacji chorobotwórczych białek (eng. PROT-TOWING: Development of Innovative Molecular Tugging Technology for Selective Inactivation of Pathogenic Proteins)”, a project led by prof. Łukasz Opaliński from the Faculty of Biotechnology.     The Artificial Intelligence Olympiad is a competition aimed at students from Polish secondary schools. It also represents a unique opportunity to support young talent – individuals who are just beginning their journey into the world of AI and are eager to expand their knowledge, gain new experiences, and develop their skills at the highest level. The goal of the Olympiad is to promote key knowledge and technologies at the foundation of artificial intelligence. The competition began on February 17, and its first stage has just concluded.
